This trip, the table was once again set for such a wing as both Nat Richter and Kevin Valerio reached base in the ninth inning with one out. With Sheboygan leading 5-4 and the Bandits short on pitching heading into a crucial four game set with Eau Claire this weekend, Bandits manager Nat Richter was hoping for another mighty swing from the middle of his lineup. The Bandits scored early and often, plating two runs in each of the first two innings before exploding for six runs in the third inning. Kevin Valerio continued his hot hitting, going 3x5 on the evening with a pair of RBIs. Bandits Tune Up for WSL Week
Submitted by james on Tue, 07/19/2011 - 12:32amThe Bandits tuned up for their 6 game WSL game swing by playing the Manitowoc Heat and Two Rivers Polar Bears in a doubleheader at Muncipal Field Monday night. Manitowoc came out on top by scores of 16-0 and 11-1 as Brock Wetenkamp posted 9 RBIs on the evening. Wetenkamp, Sam Spurney and Max Stepan each homered while Matt Roberts and Miles Mayer picked up the wins in the shortened contests.

Submitted by james on Sun, 07/17/2011 - 7:03amSheboygan was host to a slugfest Saturday as the Manitowoc Bandits downed the Sheboygan A's 11-10 as Sam Spurney launched a two-run homerun with an out in the top of the ninth inning, putting the Bandits ahead for good. The teams combined for 34 hits in total while scoring in eight of nine innngs. The Bandits scored in each of the first four frames, while the A's came bake to take a lead in the fifth inning. Menasha Hands Bandits Second League Loss
Submitted by james on Thu, 07/14/2011 - 10:27pmThe Menasha Macs took it to the Bandits on Thursday night at Municipal Field, defeating the Bandits by a score of 7-2 and handing them their second league loss of the season. Menasha, currently in second place, drops the Bandits lead to 3 1/2 games. Chris Krepline took the loss. Offensively, Max Stepan hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the eighth inning and Mike Hall doubled and scored on a Sam Spurney single in the bottom of the second inning, providing the only highlights of the contest for the Black & Green.
Bandits Back to On Track, Win 5-1 Over Oshkosh
Submitted by james on Thu, 07/14/2011 - 6:38amThe Bandits scored four runs in the the top of the fifth inning to take control of the ballgame and defeat the Oshkosh Giants by a score of 5-1, securing a win that counts in both the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League standings. The win moves the Bandits a full game ahead of the Lombard Orioles in the standings and advances their lead in the NEWBL over the Menasha Macs who visit Municipal Field tonight at 7:30. Liam O'Brien got the win and was relieved my Matt Shea. Max Stepan doubled as the Bandits tallied seven hits in the contest.
Orioles Repay Favor, Take Two on Sunday

The Bandits held a half game lead in first place over Lombard heading into the weekend and will leave the weekend with that same half game lead over them. The Bandits took game one by a score of 6-5 and the second game 5-4. In both games the Bandits had timely hits, solid defense and capitalized on Lombard miscues. Manitowoc scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first as Max Stepan, Mike Hall and Sam Spurney each had consecutive two out hits.
