Menasha Stifles Bandits 5-0

The Menasha Macs used five pitchers to combine for a 5-0 shut out of the Manitowoc Bandits at Menasha's Koslo Park on Friday night.  The Macs, who had secured the #4 seed in the NEWBL playoffs, were able to scatter the Bandits seven hits over nine innings by striking out eleven and walking four.  Jason McCurry started on the hill for the Bandits and pitched seven innings, walking four and striking out three.  Brad Breier and Dustin Johnson each had a pair of hits for the Bandits.  The Bandits host the Sheboygan A's on Sunday night at 7:30.  It is the final game of 2012 for the Bandits as they have missed the playoffs for this season.  A new NEWBL Champion will be crowned this year.  The teams by seed are Oshkosh #1, Green Bay #2, Sheboygan #3 and Menasha #4.  Good luck to all four playoff participants.
