Lombard Takes Three from Bandits

The Manitowoc Bandits made their annual Chicago Weekend Trip to face the Lombard Orioles this past weekend and left with only one victory in the series.  Lombard,  League Champion nine of the last ten years, won the first and last games of the series 11-1 and 12-2.  In between those two games, the Bandits played well, dropping one contest by a score of 1-0 behind a solid performance from Brennan Rhode and winning the opener on Sunday by a score of 2-1 behind the pitching of Parker Johnson.  The Bandits continue their road swing through this week by visiting Oshkosh and Sheboygan before heading home to host Military Appreciation Day on Saturday against the first place Kenosha Kings (5-1).  The Saturday doubleheader is set to begin at 1:00pm.  Makeup dates for the rained out Appleton and De Pere games are still forthcoming.
